WARNING: GLASS DOES NOT HANDLE HUMIDITY OR MOISTURE WELL. IF YOUR GAMING AREA HAS HIGH HUMIDITY OR MOISTURE, THEY WILL FEEL VERY SLUGGISH. GLASS MAY CAUSE ADDITIONAL WEAR ON CLOTH AND PLASTIC SURFACES COMPARED TO PTFE DUE TO ITS HARDNESS. THIS WILL VARY ON SEVERAL FACTORS SUCH AS USE CASE, PAD STYLE/TYPE, DOWNARD FORCE EXERTED BY THE USER, ETC. HYBRID PADS MAY BE PARTICULARLY AFFECTED DUE TO THE TIGHT KNIT NATURE OF THE SURFACE BECOMING SOFTER. P.S.- THERE ARE ALSO 2 STAGES OF WEAR FOR A CLOTH PAD. 1 - BREAK IN, WHERE THE MATERIAL BECOMES SOFTER. 2 - WEAR DOWN, AFTER HEAVY USE CLOTH PADS WILL FURTHER BREAK DOWN AND THE CLOTH WILL BECOME EVEN SOFTER.

Our new Lethal Gaming Gear brand, Lethal Skates, are made of reinforced glass. The material we use is highly durable, low initial friction, and quality. The goal was to offer a different experience compared to PTFE and ceramic skates. Lethal Skates provide nearly zero initial friction to get your mouse moving from a stop and an addictively smooth glide that is fast but controllable.

Specs

  • .80mm thick +/- .02mm (not including the adhesive)

Details

  • Made of Reinforced Glass
  • Improved durability over traditional PTFE
  • Safe on cloth, hybrid, and plastic mousepads. YMMV with glass mousepads (NOT recommended for glass pads)
  • Can easily be cleaned by simply wiping them down with a non-abrasive cloth

Important Notes

  • A common issue on mice is the warping of the bottom plate/base. This happens during the injection molding process and can be more prevalent with certain types of plastic. This can cause the mouse to wobble or not sit evenly on harder surfaces (plastic and glass mousepads). Lethal Skates may amplify this defect due to their rigidity and flatness. The manufacturing process insures a uniform thickness with tight tolerances so if you experience any wobbling after installation, it is NOT the result of the Lethal Skates themselves! Given that info, mouse wobble is not grounds for a refund or return on this product.
  • If you use a hard pad, Lethal Skates will likely be quite loud when compared to traditional PTFE skates. This is just the nature of 2 harder surfaces rubbing against one another. Loudness is not an acceptable reason for a refund or return on this product.
  • Does NOT come with a sensor ring. Due to manufacturing limitations, none of the models will come with a sensor ring.

Emily ★★★★★

The glide is unbelievably smooth on my desk mat, and the RGB lighting actually looks way cooler in person than in the photos. I did have to wipe it down once when the room got stuffy, but that's easy enough to handle.

Miles ★★★★★

I was worried about humidity, but my setup must be fine because the glass surface stays consistently smooth even during long sessions. It’s noticeably faster than my old mat, and the XM1r’s sensor tracks perfectly across it.

Joshua L. ★★★★★

The glide on this is incredible right out of the box, way smoother than my old cloth pad. Just have to remember to keep my desk dry, but for fast flicks in shooters it's been a game changer for me.
