Deciding on the Kattā cloth mousepad pre-order? Here is what the listing confirms, what it leaves open, and how to judge whether it fits your setup.

Quick answer

Treat the Kattā cloth mousepad pre-order as a reservation, not an immediate purchase. Buy it only if you are comfortable waiting for release and already know a cloth surface suits your grip and space.

Pre-order timing changes the decision

A pre-order reserves an item ahead of its release rather than shipping immediately. That means your money and patience are committed before you can feel the surface, so the decision should rest on confirmed facts and your own setup rather than on unverified expectations.

The listing does not supply dimensions, thickness, base material, or edge construction. Those are real limitations for a buying decision, not details to fill in with guesses. If any of them would change your choice, wait for the full specification rather than assuming.

Cloth is a broad category, not a single feel

Cloth mousepads vary widely in glide speed, stopping control, and surface texture, and the Kattā listing only confirms a cloth surface. It does not state a speed or control profile, so you cannot treat it as a direct replacement for a pad you already know without more information.

If you are upgrading from a worn pad, the safer path is to identify what you like about your current surface first, then check whether the Kattā listing eventually confirms a similar construction.

Price context and the cost of waiting

The catalog shows a price of USD 39.53 against a comparison price of USD 59.00, which frames the pre-order as a discounted commitment. That discount is only worthwhile if the pad genuinely suits you once it arrives.

Weigh the saving against the wait. If you need a pad now, a pre-order leaves you without one until release; if you are replacing a pad that still works, the wait costs you little.

Decision rules for the Kattā pre-order

You need a pad this week: Skip the pre-order. A reservation does not ship immediately, so choose an in-stock pad instead. Set a hard deadline: if you cannot wait for release, the pre-order is the wrong purchase.
You already like a specific cloth feel: Do not assume the Kattā matches it. The listing confirms a cloth surface but not its glide or control profile, so wait for those details or accept the uncertainty.
Size and thickness matter to your desk: The listing does not state dimensions or thickness. If your desk or arm movement depends on those numbers, hold off until they are published. Write down your minimum and maximum pad size before you order anything.
The discount is your main reason: The USD 39.53 price against a USD 59.00 comparison price only pays off if the pad suits you. Judge fit first, price second.
