Learn how to set up the Lethal Cable for your Razer Viper 8K gaming mouse, including using the included rubber adapter for a secure fit.

Quick Answer

Connect the Lethal Cable to your Razer Viper 8K, then secure the connection by sliding the included rubber adapter over the mouse's port for a snug, wobble-free fit.

Why the Rubber Adapter Matters

The Razer Viper 8K has a recessed USB port that can cause standard cables to feel loose. The included rubber adapter fills this gap, preventing accidental disconnects during fast movements.

Setup Steps

1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove the Lethal Cable and rubber adapter from the bag. Check that the connector matches your Viper 8K's port. Ensure the adapter is oriented correctly—the wider end faces the mouse.
2. Attach the Adapter to the Mouse: Slide the rubber adapter onto the Razer Viper 8K's USB port. Press firmly until it sits flush against the mouse body. If the adapter feels too tight, warm it slightly with your hands to soften the rubber.
3. Connect the Cable: Plug the Lethal Cable into the adapter-equipped port. Push until you hear a click or feel it seat fully. A loose connection means the adapter isn't seated properly—re-seat it and try again.
4. Route and Test: Route the cable away from your mousepad area. Move the mouse through its full range to confirm no tension or disconnection. If the cable catches on anything, adjust the routing path before gaming.
